Wynn B Bar

I have been to bars of all sorts. The fanciest, the hoteliest, the dumpiest, the small towniest. They all have their special quirks and deserve their place under the sun....or stars if you aren't an alcoholic that goes during the day. But this one, this one is special.

I explored the whisky cocktail side of the menu, as I am wont to do. Here are the menu items I imbibed:

Soho Manhattan WhistlePig “Piggyback” 6 Year Rye, Belle de Brillet Pear & Cognac, Spanish vermouth

Always love an Old Fashioned, and this was no different. However, I have had very mixed experiences in my day with Manhattans. This one was exceptional. To be honest, I had too many to remember the finer points of these drinks. All you need to know was they hit the mark.

Value wise, in Vegas these drinks aren't too far off from any crappy cocktail anywhere on the strip. This is a high end place charging regular strip prices. Compared to anywhere else in the Wynn even, this felt like too much bang for my buck. A nice change of pace.

What makes this place truly special though was the service. Hands down the best bar service I've ever enjoyed in my entire life. This place was packed. Standing room only. I figured it'd be a fight to get a drink. But no. Bartender locked eyes on me right when I looked up from the menu and summoned me with a small gesture. Drinks were ready in mere moments. Once I had finished round one, he was busy with someone else so I figured I'd have a little wait, but no...the second bartender on the other side of the bar sensed I was in need. He beckoned me over and was even faster than the first guy making the drink. He's the one that made me the Manhattan I liked. Elite work.
